John Browne

Senior Market Strategist, Euro-Pacific Capital

A former Conservative Member of Parliament and graduate of the Harvard Business School, John Browne is an economist, investment adviser, nationally recognized columnist and worldwide lecturer on various political, economic, financial and defense issues.

He is a weekly op-ed columnist for the Pittsburgh Tribune Review and appears frequently on local and national television. He is the Senior Market Strategist for Euro Pacific Capital, Inc., where his weekly column appears on the Company’s web page and lectures at various money and financial conferences. In addition, he is a Visiting Fellow at the Heritage Foundation, Washington, DC.

As a former Member of Parliament for some fourteen years, John also offers insight into international politics, economics and defense. He served on the Treasury Select Committee; as elected Secretary of the Conservative Defense and Finance Committees; and as elected Chairman of the Conservative Small Business Committee. His Parliamentary work involved him with national leaders such as President Reagan and Party Secretary Gorbachev. He briefed Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher that Gorbachev would likely become leader of the Soviet Union.

John Browne graduated from the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst (the UK equivalent of West Point), where he was a private student of the late Sir Basil Liddell-Hart, who was perhaps the single most important designer of what his German students later christened Blitzkrieg. John was commissioned into the Grenadier Guards (Royal Guard), serving as a pilot, parachutist and communications specialist. He served in British Guiana, Cyprus and in Germany. In London, he participated on major State occasions, including having responsibility for the pallbearers at the State Funeral of the late Sir Winston Churchill. He retired as a Major and continues to be involved in defense studies.

John went on to receive his MSc from Cranfield Institute of Technology and his MBA from Harvard Business School. He worked as an investment banker with Morgan Stanley & Co, on Wall Street and with various investment houses in the City of London, operating in the UK Government and Eurobond markets.

John Browne has written numerous published articles on politics, economics, finance and defense. He has served on the boards of several companies, both in England and the United States and as a governor of Southampton University. He continues to serve as a governor of Malvern College, as an officer of the Order of Saint John and as a liveryman of the Goldsmiths Company.

Anthony Pulieri

Chief Investment Officer, Joseph Glenn Commodities

Anthony Pulieri  is a Managing Partner of Joseph Glenn Commodities and acts as its Chief Investment Advisor.  The firm specializes in the precious metals sector with a major focus on gold. Pulieri has worked in the investment world for the past decade.  He began his career in equity market trading in daily options and stocks.  He was one of the youngest financial advisors at Oppenheimer and Co. in New York City and Ft. Lauderdale.  Educated at Indiana University, Pennsylvania, Pulieri ran a banking division for a mortgage bank.  At the age of 26, he oversaw a pipeline of $20million in loans monthly.  Pulieri has maintained his position as a Private Advisor to a group of high net worth clients.

Pulieri also worked in the Latin American commodities markets with the focus on Brazil, specializing in import/export of granite from Brazil to China and the International base metal sector.  At the age of thirty he has been able to weather the volatility of the markets he has been exposed to with his clients.

For the past ten years he not only maintained relationships, but he has been successtul at growing new ones.  Pulieri strongly believes that gold and precious metals are the next great investment opportunity as new government spending policies are creating inflation.  Pullieri believes that his name and the United Bullion Group’s name will be synonymous with precious metals success as we ascend into the future.  Anthony’s goal is that Joseph Glenn Commodities establishes itself as a leader in the precious metals market.

Alfred “Al” Zucaro Jr.

Chairman, World Trade Center Palm Beach

Alfred “Al” Zucaro Jr. is one of South Florida’s most captivating voices on international trade and commerce, especially in relation to immigration law and migration strategy. Founder of the World Trade Center Palm Beach in 1999, Zucaro was named one of the 101 most influential people in International Trade and Commerce by South Florida CEO magazine magazine for two years in a row.

Since 1986, Zucaro has practiced immigration and nationality law. Zucaro’s leadership skills and expertise extend well beyond the courtroom. From March 1995 through November 2002, he was elected to the West Palm Beach City Commission. During this period, Zucaro helped shape the identity of West Palm Beach and Palm Beach County as an international business destination.

As a member of the Tourist Development Council (2000 -2001) and the Economic Council of Palm Beach County (2001 to 2005), Zucaro has also been instrumental in raising the area’s profile in ‘global’ affairs. For the past two years, Al has also worked relentlessly to inform and encourage other elected officials to lend their voice and support to hemispheric and global free trade agreements. He is participating with Enterprise Florida’s efforts to determine the negative economic impacts of U.S. restrictive visa policies on Florida’s economy and is active with FEIVR, Florida Visa Policy and Immigration Reform group, in furthering the state’s public policy in the area of comprehensive immigration reform.

As Chairman of the World Trade Center Palm Beach, a not-for-profit organization, Zucaro is continually forging alliances between local and international entities. A tireless advocate of global commerce, he has organized trade delegations to a number of different countries including Argentina, Brazil, Italy and Mexico. He has met with Scripps Research Institute officials and World Trade Center San Diego leaders to help establish a strategic relationship in the bio-tech industry. He also met with officials from the City and Port of San Diego for discussions on public/private opportunities with the WTC San Diego and Scripps. Al has traveled with Enterprise Florida’s Governor Bush-led bioscience recruitment mission to Germany and Switzerland and is actively participating in international business development for the Palm Beach and south Florida region. Al is also a frequent speaker on the topics of international trade, immigration law and business development opportunities. Among other, he has participated in events organized by the Florida Association of Realtors, Palm Beach County Realtors Association, Enterprise Florida and Florida TaxWatch, Palm Beach County, City of West Palm Beach, City of Riviera Beach, City of Belle Glade, Port of Palm Beach, and U.S. Export Assistance Center.

Armand Grossman

Commercial Real Estate Expert & Trustee for Florida Atlantic University

Armand Grossman has a long standing, highly distinguished affiliation with Florida Atlantic University.  Grossman’s deep affinity for FAU began the same year the university opened, as he was a member of the inaugural class. As an undergrad, he was a founder of the Student Government Association, wrote the SGA Charter and served in the first student senate. He was also a founder of the student newspaper, The Atlantic Sun and served as its first sports editor .Grossman received his bachelor’s degree in political science from FAU, along with a master’s degree in education and an MBA in 1977.  Along his academic path, he also has earned a certificate in real estate finance from Harvard University.

Grossman is the former vice mayor of the city of Miami Springs, where he served two terms prior to his candidacy for the state legislature. He also served two years as director of the Dade League of Cities.

Professionally, Grossman has spent 35 years in public and private education. While serving in Dade County schools, he was the basketball coach at Miami Northwestern Senior High School where his teams lost a total of six games over a four-year stint. In the past 18 years, he has conducted nearly 1,500 seminars worldwide on the subject of personal transition and individual achievement .Professionally, Armand is a commercial real estate broker and developer. He is currently working in the Donald Trump Organization. Grossman served as president of the FAU National Alumni Association for two consecutive terms and as the chair of the FAU Foundation Board of Directors in 2004.  Most recently, he was appointed to the FAU Board of Trustees and continues to serve as a member. Grossman and his wife Gina reside in Boca Raton with their sons, Michael, 17, and Mark, 12.

Mr. Brack is the Founder of Aduro Asset Group, LLC and Aduro Asset Group Europe A/S. Mr. Brack has over 15 years of experience in investment management, private equity, and corporate finance. Mr. Brack is the former Founder and Chairman of STS Technologies LLC, an electronic financial transaction company focused on anti-fraud measures for card-not-present credit card transactions and point-of-sale technology. Mr. Brack served as Principal of INI-Novum, Inc., a US and German seed stage equity fund, focusing on commercialization and capitalization of patented technologies emanating from Fraunhofer CRCG, one of over 50 institutes of Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft (FhG), the leading organization for institutes of applied research in Europe, with a global patent portfolio in excess of US $1B. Mr. Brack received his BA Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies from the University of Florida, and his MBA in International Business from Florida Atlantic University. Mr. Brack is an active member of the World Affairs Council of the Florida Palm Beaches.

Richard S. Bernstein

Richard S. Florida Senator Mike Haridopolos

Mike was first elected to the Florida House of Representatives in 2000, then to the Florida Senate in March of 2003. He was re-elected to the Senate in 2006 and will seek re-election to his final term in the Senate in 2010.

In December of 2009, Mike was honored with the unanimous support of his colleagues when he was designated to succeed Jeff Atwater as President of the Florida Senate. Mike will take office as Florida’s 96th Senate President following the November 2010 general election.

Mike has stood up for Floridians against more government, higher taxes, and unrestrained spending in Tallahassee. Mike is a co-founder of the Freedom Caucus that led the fight against tax increases and signs Americans for Tax Reform’s Taxpayer Protection Pledge to “oppose and vote against any and all efforts to increase taxes” every year before the Legislature goes into session.

Mike currently serves as Chairman of the Senate Committee on Energy, Environment and Land Use and the Senate Committee on Reapportionment. In addition to these Chairmanships, Mike sits on committees for Social Responsibility, Ways and Means, Communications, Energy and Public Utilities, Health and Human Services Appropriations, Judiciary, Transportation, and the Select Committee on Florida’s Economy.

Mike has appeared on Fox News’ Huckabee to discuss Transparency Florida, an initiative he led to put the state budget online for all Floridians to see. He has also appeared on CNN as a guest of Lou Dobbs and has been featured in Florida Trend magazine as a legislator “…who could shape Florida politics.” He was also recently named by the Hotline as one of six “rising stars” among Republican state legislators.

Mike graduated from Stetson University in 1992 with a B.A. in History, and in 1993 earned a Masters in History at the University of Arkansas. Later that year, at the age of twenty-three, Mike became a history instructor at Brevard Community College, and within three years he was named the Department Chair of Social Behavioral Sciences. In 1997, Mike was promoted to the Chair of the Liberal Arts Department at BCC. Mike is currently a full-time lecturer at the Bob Graham Center for Public Service at the University of Florida.

Mike represents District 26 in the Florida Senate, which includes parts of Brevard, Indian River, Osceola, and St. Lucie Counties. He is married to Stephanie Haridopolos, M.D., and they have three children: Alexis, Hayden, and Reagan.

Dr. Mark Skousen

Economist & University Professor

Dr. Mark Skousen is a professional economist, financial advisor, university professor, and author of over 20 books. In 2004, he was an adjunct professor at Columbia University’s Graduate School of Business. In 2001-02, he was president of the Foundation of Economic Education (FEE) in New York.

From 1986 until 2003, Skousen taught economics, finance and history at Rollins College in Winter Park, Florida.

From 1972-75, Skousen was an economic analyst for the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA). Since then, he has been a consultant to IBM, Hutchinson Technology, and other Fortune 500 companies. He has a been a columnist for Forbes magazine (1997-2001), and has written articles for The Wall Street Journal, Liberty, Reason, and The Journal of Economic Perspectives. He has appeared on ABC News, CNBC Power Lunch, CNN, and C-SPAN Book TV.

Since 1980, Dr. Skousen has been editor in chief of Forecasts & Strategies, a popular award-winning investment newsletter published by Eagle Publishing in Washington, D. C. He is also editor of his own website, www.mskousen.com, and editor of three trading services, Skousen Hedge Fund Trader, Skousen High Income Alert and Skousen Turnaround Trader.

He earned his Ph. D. in economics and monetary history from George Washington University in 1977.
